BBC News on Radio 4 is doing less news and more Hello magazine style popular culture stories that are definitely not news

Their latest 'news' is Tony Blair's talk to the Women's Institute 25 years ago, and the legacy of Brigitte Bardot

BBC news is now a tabloid hollow shell of what it once was

“Farage had an uneasy end to the year”

Where “uneasy” = exposed as racist with corrupt/traitorous links to Russia and useless at running councils.
But no worries. They’ll just join forces with the failed Tories to “end the left wing tyranny.”

They can all go to hell.

Some people do my head in.
This arse is one of them.
Why TF would we care about his business…? Did he care about all the SMEs bankrupted by Brexit? Does he feel any anxiety or shame about just how much that stupid idea has cost our country and many of us personally.
No.
He can absolutely do one.

Very good, as ever, from @iandunt.bsky.social and a New Year’s resolution we can all get behind.

The Right used to contain the staunchest monarchists, but their more recent burn-it-all-down creed pauses for nothing.

These people have a very corrupted view of Britishness and should not be allowed to 'own' patriotism.
"Give it a rest" posted podcaster Connor Tomlinson at 3.15pm on Christmas Day about the King's message

Tomlinson advocates bamning all British citizens who are Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist from parliament & civil service, along with ethnic minorities who lack white British ancestors.

We've always had these dead-eyed socipaths around. It's just a few years ago they were ignored and now they're "senior fellow" at places funded by evil millionaires + going on podcasts with a brain-rotted ex-PM.
Harrison Pitt accuses the King of treachery. Pitt is a Senior Policy Fellow for Rupert Lowe's Restore Britain, who also regularly co-hosts podcasts with his ally Tomlinson (who advocates banning all ethnic and faith minorities from public office). Like Lowe, Pitt is keen to dissolve boundaries/norms

How can you have a review of foreign interference in elections without, you know, reviewing past elections? Who wants a review of a film you haven’t seen yet??

Steve Reed, "It will be forward looking, there will be no relitigating of previous elections or referendum"

Eric Trump has gotten ten times richer over the same time period.

Wouldn’t it be appalling if Farage’s Kipper and Brexit MEPs went around making legal threats at people who called them Russian stooges and then it turned out that between one and eight of them were in fact stooging for Russia? I mean, wouldn’t that be just appalling?

I look at this administration and GOP and can't fathom that there are people in this world who are so utterly horrific. I also can't believe that the guardrails have failed so tragically, and those elected or appointed to keep those protections in place have catastrophically failed to do their job.
