The malicious compliance aspect of this is that students can apparently now submit a complaint against every professor in the university and shut the whole place down indefinitely.

Who is going to teach those classes while the faculty are suspended? Just expect other faculty to voluntarily take on new classes midway through? Or just stop the class?

I don't want to be a "I'm not surprised" guy but covid made it clear that a substantial part of the population wants the freedom to do whatever they want even if it kills them and/or others
