1. This is not how anyone talks to an O-10.

2. This is certainly not how a 40 year-old ex-O-4 talks to an O-10.

3. This is the most dumbshit company grade officer crap imaginable. No competent commander tells a senior officer not to ask questions.

4. He may as well have called Holsey "boy."

Capricious, nonsensical cruelty instigated by a President with a failing brain
South Floridians from Cuba, Haiti and Venezuela expecting to become U.S. citizens this week learned instead that their naturalization ceremonies had been canceled after the Trump administration issued a sweeping directive aimed at halting immigration from so-called high-risk countries.
South Florida immigrants on cusp of citizenship told to wait as DHS changes policy
The cancellations, confirmed by multiple immigration attorneys, came after the Trump administration paused immigration from 19 nations and froze all asylum claims.

Losers also get to write history, and often teach their own history.
Propaganda is relative. While one might beg the numbers be cast in ratios, that just opens debate and rabbit holes. It is much easier, and more realistic to admit that victors write the history.

The U.S. has such a toxic relationship with alcohol. Honestly, if this is the position we are going to take we should change our laws and make teaching people how to drink safely an actual thing.
To a pretty significant degree, college educated people do not care about underage drinking *in a collegiate context.*

And even on the high-school level it is true to a significant extent.

But it's also very don't get caught, don't tell the Baptists, and don't be a minority.

It's pretty obvious what's going to happen here.

Trump is going to "antitrust" his way toward making sure only Larry Ellison can acquire WB

Meanwhile, Matt Stoller will goon furiously to the faintest semblance of an idea that there is anything besides sheer kleptocracy at work in the proceedings
these are all terrible options, and if we lived in a functioning democracy with working regulators we'd think nothing of putting a blanket end to pointless media consolidation

these deals are always terrible for product quality, consumers, art and labor, but this is always downplayed in coverage.

MORE Breaking on MS NOW: Pete Hegseth refused an interview request for the Pentagon Inspector General's investigation into Signalgate, according to two sources who read and were briefed on report.

Hegseth would not turn over his phone, a source who read the report told MS NOW.
Breaking on MS NOW: The Signalgate report contradicts Pete Hegseth's claims he did nothing wrong. It shows he "violated policy by using a non-approved device," a source who read the report says.

Hegseth failed to preserve records. The report says he put the operations and service people at risk.

The reactionary mind is incredibly neurotic about both being stolen from and being laughed at and that's part of why they're so consumed with anxieties about welfare cheats, fake refugees, fake disabled kids, etc. It's like an asexual version of their cucking anxiety.

Walking around like 'oh wow but who would have told us' and its like 'literally Kamala Harris told you everything htat has happened under Trump in her debates. If you watched the debates, you were explicitly told.'

Agreed. I live in central Maine and see his signs up all over the place. It's not great that the guy is Herr Totenkopf, but I suspect many Mainers are framing it to themselves like, "we'll take the crypto-Nazi if he can get us affordable healthcare"

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.
