Just pointing out, Chia Pet ads were standards for 'Yan Can Cook' and 'Chinese Brush Painting with Ning Yeh' on PBS and weekday reruns of 'The Rockford Files' and 'The Jeffersons'.

I do not understand why no one is talking about how much money is going to suddenly be missing from the consumer economy in starting in January. This is one of my...Am I Crazy....moments. Money sunk into higher insurance payments will not be spent on consumer goods, and this will happen quickly.

There's something I just don't get. AI fans utter and complete glee that AI will in theory eliminate every possible way people make a living. These ghouls can't think of a better world than abject poverty for everyone but a select few.

Just because the usual contrarians are out in force to state that turkey is dry as an objective fact, I would like to remind everyone that the ways to ensure your turkey (white and dark meat) isn't dry doesn't need 48 hours of brining, spatchcocking a 22lbs bird, or deep frying anything.

I'm not surprised at this outcome. I'm more surprised how tone deaf the GOP Senators were thinking the House would just swallow a seven figure payout without a peep.
The House has voted unanimously to repeal the provisions in the shutdown package which allow GOP Senators to sue the federal government and get as much as $1 million in damages - because the feds looked at their phone records in the Jan. 6 investigation.
