ron perlman voice: humanity never changes
Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

In late stage capitalism, having the ostensibly more left major party support your right to die when you are no longer useful to capital rather than supporting your right to pain medication, healthcare, counseling, housing—ie your right to LIVE—is fitting

it's almost quaint to remember the healthy amount of rational skepticism one would have about these types of announcements in the past. now it's just like, "this is obviously a massive lie and false flag"

One of the things that makes me irrationally mad is when an audiobook narrator mispronounces a word. Just heard an instance of “cadre” being pronounced as if it rhymed with “potter.” It’s not even an especially esoteric word!

If I were traveling to a country with a government unbound by laws and carelessly vindictive, and they asked me for iris scans, fingerprints, selfies, and access to 5 years of all social media posts (which means made public if they’re currently set to private) I would not travel there.
US plans to ask visitors to share 5 years of social media history to enter
Tourists from 42 countries may soon need to also disclose email accounts, extensive family history and biometrics.

You wrote about how it’s good to force workers to work with avowed racists that hate them
I wrote about why we should not celebrate someone losing their job, especially in today’s America, even when they’ve done terrible racist things.

Losing a job should also be harder and involve workers’ bodies not unilateral management decisions.

Taking the most famous photographs of working people in American history and replacing them with a group of CEOs who've done approximately three days of actual work in their lives is an incredible satire of how capitalism- oh, hang on *touches earpiece* ha ha ha ha no come on you're kidding me
