The solution is for the city to invest in secure bike lockers. Not persecuting the unhoused, but not ignoring the problem either.
A Seattle Times editorial board member had his $3,500 bike stolen, immediately called the King County Prosecutor's Office (because his bike is so expensive, "it's a felony," he noted), then concluded that police need to spend more of their time tracking down bikes stolen and used by homeless people.

If you get this butthurt about criticism, then maybe publishing isn't for you.
I'm an author. Everyone who gives my books a 1-star review, which, not to be cocky, is rather rare, I use their name to create a terrible, hated character in my next book who gets killed off most gruesomely. You've been warned.

I read this story while preparing a recent talk examining what robotaxis mean for biking.

Really puts the "AVs are bicyclists' best friends" claims in perspective.

Autism is a spectrum because it includes autistic people who have no visible signs of autism, autistic people who have every stereotypical visible sign of autism & autistic people who fall everywhere in between.

We all exist. We are all valid. And we are all deserving of support.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

Nigel Farage’s little tantrum on TV about the BBC is very much like Trump and his whines when asked questions he didn’t like. Farage is literally copying the tactic for himself. But if he boycotts the BBC then he’ll have very little TV coverage. lol

"The City’s own data indicate that conflicts involving right-turning vehicles are among the most common types of pedestrian collisions ... If adopted, these changes would mark one of the most significant intersection-safety reforms in Vancouver in years."
