Hopefully the Phillies take note of what can happen when you treat your body like some weird science experiment/political statement in the culture wars.
Steelers star TJ Watt is expected to play again this season following surgery on his partially collapsed lung after a dry needling treatment, sources say.

Sometimes this heals on its own. This didn't, so surgery was necessary. A scary 24 hours. But full recovery expected.

“Battling layoffs, chaotic operations and paper-thin margins” as if these were things thrust upon them and not factors directly under their control…
Viral cookie chain Crumbl has blanketed the country with its Instagrammy desserts powered by new private equity backing. It’s also battling layoffs, chaotic operations and paper-thin margins.
Crumbl’s Cookie Empire Is Showing Cracks
The trendy chain has Instagrammy treats and private equity backing. But layoffs, chaotic operations and paper-thin margins may be leading it down a familiar path.

My hottest take is that letting cops park in red zones for mundane errands and coffee breaks; I think “you can break the law at your discretion as a job perk” is the small domino that ends in the large domino of “shooting protesters in the face with rubber bullets”
It must be wild to get to abuse the public then pay for it with the public's money

Completely embarrassing behavior from Vizquel.
We've seen two voters who flipped to yes say that Vizquel called them last year to discuss his candidacy and the off-field issues hindering it. Another (who stayed a no on Vizquel) posted about a lunch with Vizquel where they discussed these issues. In 125 ballots, Vizquel has gained 5 and lost 2.
What is Vizquel gaining votes? What is happening?

I find OU's actions throughout this story to be very concerning, not only because the university caved to a bad-faith reactionary smear campaign but also because it appears to be enrolling students who are borderline illiterate
Turning Point at OU posted this girl's essay in full and man is it rough

lawmakers need to rein in this continual expansion of dynamic pricing, it got ridiculous long ago and is becoming obscene
Yeah, the "dynamic pricing" in big box stores is the same. Depending on who is looking at the tag, time of day, etc. the price for items can literally change from the shelf to the register. 😤 Freaking DISNEY is even going to start using it! deadline.com/2025/11/disn...
Disney Will Bring Dynamic Pricing Similar To Airline Model To Domestic Theme Parks, Says CFO
Disney will bring dynamic pricing similar to the model used by airlines to its domestic theme parks as the company looks to boost incremental revenue.

I guess my only problem with the "strong floor, no ceiling" thing as a political slogan is it makes no sense, conveys no message, does not translate to anyone, and does not mean anything.

Maybe if he had worn more comfortable clothes to the airport he could walk normally in this video.
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"Sometimes you just have to ask people, Hey, let's go back to an era where we didn't wear our pajamas to the airport. We actually might dress up a little bit"

i think some web retailers are flat out lying about delivery times to encourage customers to get the more expensive options. it doesn't take 8 days to ship something domestically, buddy. it's not getting carried over the rockies by covered wagon anymore

Sports betting is all over the news lately. Reminds me of the time my administration “negotiated” a $215 million no-bid contract to operate a sports gambling app that generated 1/20 of promised revenues and didn’t work for an entire Super Bowl.

This sounds like a deeply unpleasant shopping experience.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more

Giving public space to restaurants and cafes and community gathering is really great, actually! Cities a fraction of the size of DC have incredible public spaces - even though private businesses are allowed to use some of that space in a regulated manner - but the result is a more dynamic city!
