webp should be banned. Every argument I've heard in favor of its existence ignores the fact that it's just harder to work with in almost any context that is relevant to me in any way.
An angel weeps every time I have to download a WEBP to convert to a PNG so that I can upload it to a site that only accepts PNGs but that site will then re-convert it into a WEBP for display
