Labour policy is being celebrated by Tommy Robinson.

That's it.

That's all you ever need to say to explain who Labour are.

If I were in government & I feared that Reform were likely to succeed me, the things I absolutely would not do are:

- bolster their talking points
- increase state surveillance
- remove legal barriers to further human rights infringements

That seems like the sort of thing you'd do to help them....

Stripping immigrants of rights and safety is not helping the working class, because immigrants are the working class.

It is not immigrants who make it impossible to afford housing, or to get health care, or to lower prices, or to earn a living. It is, in every single case, the capitalist class.

Every time I hear a politician say that an issue is “dividing” this country they always then come down on the side of the right wing view of it. Just once I’d love to hear someone say “this issue is divisive, which is why I’m making the argument that kindness and compassion is important”

So hyper from post-chemo steroids that I did some dancing to #totp then realised that the loss of muscle tone means I cannot get back up from a slutdrop. Embarrassing scenes.

I needed to clear out the filter in my washing machine. I have cancer and feel like shit and have lost muscle mass. Anyway, I did the job, turned the machine on and seconds later flooded the kitchen. I’ve just paid a man £60 to tighten the filter up by half a turn, which was beyond me. #fuckcancer

Wes Streeting has received £225k from private healthcare donors in the past year and I just don't think my morals could be bought for the price of half a London flat. I don't know if I have a number that would make me sell my country's health service down the river but Wes and I are different.

This is an interesting position for a senior member of a government that keeps telling us it doesn't want to cut public services and persecute minorities but has to because of costs and the threat of Reform.
'Don't tell me you don't want to be out on strike - because that is exactly where you are. Own it.'

As resident doctors walk out again, Wes Streeting calls out the 'reprehensible and cartel-like behaviour' of their union.

The incredible, indomitable, inspirational Alice Wong has left us.

I'm so grateful to have known her on social media, and so grateful for all the words she shared with us and all the actions she encouraged us into making.

May we live up to her example.

Masking helps stop disabled people like me dying, being excluded from society, and avoids passing on this kind of preventable illness. But if that’s not worth the tradeoff for you, consider protecting yourself. Just think about if you really need your face uncovered while sat silently on a train

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

Masking in hospitals - where people with infectious diseases and people who are particularly vulnerable to infectious diseases are both over-represented - is the absolute lowest of bars and yet we stubbornly refuse to clear it.
France: "Wearing a mask is once again mandatory in Paris hospitals"

"Faced with a rapid rise in respiratory infections, several hospitals in the Île-de-France region have decided to reinstate mandatory mask-wearing for healthcare workers, visitors, and patients over the age of 6."

Yes, "pregnant people" is inclusive language that describes pregnant cis women AS WELL AS trans men and nonbinary people, a lot of whom can get pregnant. But it also describes, like, 12-year-old girls who get pregnant. Do centrist pig-dogs think THEY are "women" too? Coz...bit of a red flag, that.

It's genuinely sickening to see all these MPs doing everything they can to erase transphobia from the conversation.

Brianna Ghey died because of the bigotry that the media and the Labour Party pushes relentlessly. She didn't die because her school doesn't have phone pouches.
On Brianna's 19th birthday, this morning I joined @cheshirepcc.bsky.social and the Brianna Ghey Legacy Project Phone Free Education campaign at the launch at Jodrell Bank of a new £150k initiative to make Cheshire the first county in the UK where ALL state high schools have lockable phone pouches.

A fun thing about fatigue in chronic illness is if you say you're not doing a thing people are like "why don't you just have a try!" and when you try and you can't manage it or you manage it but it wipes you out for the rest of the week people are like "you should have said if you weren't up to it!"

Environmental protesters are being given licence conditions on release from jail that are supposed to be limited to extremism cases.
