Hell, when I lived in that part of the world we used to roll around town looking for people to help. (It was a small town and I didn’t have cable, but still.)
The rage that has to exist in the average Minnesotan to watch someone stuck on an icy hill and STAND BY AND TAUNT THEM
This morning in Minneapolis, an ICE vehicle got stuck on an icy hill in a residential neighborhood. Agents had to push the vehicles out, some almost slipping in the ice themselves.

The delusion among those people is so strong that they massively overreport having used their guns to ward off home invasions and the like. Shooting a live human is their wildest dream.
Cannot be overstated that among conservative gun owners and the cops, there is no mournful acknowledgment that the dangers of this world might force them to use a gun in self-defense. There is gleeful longing for a situation where they would get to use their guns to kill and claim self-defense.

It's so fucking convenient that they get to "fear for their lives" anytime they want to absolve themselves of anything and when we actually fear for our lives because of them and do anything a scared person would do it's justification for our death.
