Today I received FOUR death notifications for people in ICE custody. That's 30 deaths since Trump took office. It's appalling & unacceptable.
ICE is required—by law—to ensure detainees are safe & their basic needs are met. It's clear this isn't the case. We NEED answers.

There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.

The GOP is going to have candidate recruitment issues for the foreseeable future.
There's a special election tonight for the KY Senate in a seat that Harris won by just 5 points last year, but the GOP doesn't seem to be contesting it seriously.
One possible reason? Their candidate called young women “coddled americunts."

This thread is uh..... tone deaf? I have kids. We live close enough we can walk to school - having paid a premium to live in a walkable neighborhood - not everyone can do that of course. And the post this is reposting uh..... completely misunderstands how these decisions get made?

every time I end up on the other site (usually for a sports clip or something like that), I get tons of ads and suggestions for awful right wing stuff and it is just an unpleasant experience. I'm not trying to make a political statement avoiding it, it's just not enjoyable.

The amount of open corruption we know about is mind boggling!
Something every 2026/28 Dem should commit to is investigations of any company that did deals with Trump. A kind of forward guidance to get companies to think twice in advance of what’s coming.
Fox News will applaud this but can you imagine their coverage if President Biden hatched a secret plan to take over Fox News and revamp its programming to be nicer to him

if dems take the house but not the senate (and even if they do take the senate, tbh), they’re not gonna have much to do, they should use committee investigative powers to start lining up cases for a dem AG in 2028
