ZELENSKY SPOKE TO SWEDENS PARLIAMENT

…what were the motivations behind this?

I’d have thought nothing cuts more against our precious British values than selling out your country for Russian bribes…

And yet Reform, the right‑wing press, and all those self‑styled guardians of these values have nothing to say

…funny that.

A scattering of the usual, tiresome journalistic tics aside - "Hard left", "eye-wateringly expensive", "Is Britain ready for a gay prime minister?" - a really good interview.

That he comes across so well in spite of the media's inability to get over themselves does him real credit.
"You can agree or disagree with him, but Polanski does not pretend to be something he is not.

He is unusually willing for a politician to give a straight answer to questions.

Does he want to rejoin the EU? “Yes."

RUSSIA SELLING ITS GOLD RESERVES TO RAISE MONEY

It once stood at 405.7 tons and it’s now down to 173.1 tons. The national reserves are on a record decline.
The speed of the sell off is increasing rapidly as the need for cash becomes increasingly desperate. It’s a finite resource though. Doom awaits

Hmmm - so tacking hard right on immigration led the Danish equivalent of Labour to lose the capital city for the first time in a century to a “Green-Left” party?

And all the seats on London’s borough councils are up next May? Including the progressive packed ones held by Labour for generations?

If we don't rapidly phase out fossil fuels, we can say goodbye to coral reefs, the Greenland and Antarctic icesheets, and permafrost. The results will not be pretty.
3 massive changes you'll see as the climate careens toward tipping points
Scientists are increasingly concerned that the planet is headed for massive, irreversible changes due to global warming. In some cases, those changes have already begun.

Finally a leader of a political party speaking with the passion and anger this disgusting act by Labour of attacking the most vulnerable deserves.

Thank you @zackpolanski.bsky.social for speaking on behalf of so many who before didn't have a voice 💚🙌
A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

The more layers we peel away the more we see that most of our problems have the same root cause.
Climate knowledge has been taken hostage to prevent climate action.

“It didn’t happen by accident. It’s the product of a deliberate and systematic assault on knowledge by some of the richest people on Earth. Preventing climate breakdown means protecting ourselves from the storm of lies.”

Absolutely right. I criticise BBC News, because we need it to be as good as we know it can be. People like Farage criticise the BBC, because they work for its competitors and don't want it to exist.
🎯 Davey is spot on. "We can have criticism of the BBC, but within that, we need to recognise how valuable an institution it is [and how] precious to our country. And that's one of the reasons why people like President Trump and Nigel Farage, want to undermine the BBC." 👏🏽~AA
