When I teaching the Holocaust I note the Holocaust museum’s definition of a concentration camp is a prison whose inmates are denied due process. These are by definition concentration camps.
These are concentration camps. No other way to describe them. Truly horrific, and none of it surprising in the least.
30 minutes. Some deportees described sexual assault. Detainee describes the guard sexually assaulting most detainees. Lights left on all day. Prisoners not given clean water.

Now the DHS tour. Nobody spoke to the detainees. Noem's video was in a different area of the prison.

Here is a very basic thing that Democrats could do: make a website with a list of all of Trump’s impeachable offenses and link to the articles they’ve written.

Why does this not exist? Because they’ve never even bothered drafting articles beyond a few solo, scattershot efforts.

I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

They make us smaller, crueler, and less free.

Trump’s expansion is fear-based, discriminatory, and wrong.

MAGA is a far greater threat to "social cohesion" and "social trust" than immigrants are, as I try to argue in this piece
This is a point I keep coming back to. You cannot defend a high trust society by orchestrating hate campaigns and moral panics against disfavored groups and harassing the populace with masked paramilitary thugs.
Miller's arguments are that "Third World" can't assimilate and that 1965 immigration act unraveled social cohesion.

But these are absurd claims. I took them on here. If you want to talk "social cohesion," Trump/Miller are doing more to erode it than immigrants are.

Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

Good explainer articles on population growth trends, why behavior changes today will only see impact far in the future, the futility of trying to change trends instead of responding to ramifications. Much like climate change, the patterns of today were set decades in the past.
6. Had I been given such a chance, I would have pointed out that, while more people compound environmental problems, residual population growth is the result of things *that have already happened*, which we cannot now significantly change. www.monbiot.com/2025/12/15/t...

This is savage
I think it’s also true that loneliness among women has historically been treated as an individual problem, while loneliness among men is treated as a societal problem. That, in turn, comes from an assumption that women are supposed to earn the company of others while men are entitled to it.
men’s loneliness gets “more airtime”?

baby I have lived the past three decades of my life witnessing corporate media elevate men’s loneliness into a full-blown balls-to-the-wall CRISIS once every 4-5 years

“more airtime” is hilarious

Impeachment is not "sacred," it is a parliamentary procedure. Please be serious.

What they're really saying is it's a lot of work and they don't want to do it.

Makes the claim that they are "laser focused" on "cleaning up corruption" a bit suspect.
Translated from gaslight speak for everyone:

“Remember you rebellious pieces of shit we care about health care and traditionally impeachment requires investigations blah blah.

However tucked at the end we want to say we are scared shitless of your power and therefore will vote present.”
