I think MTG is doing this very well rn with her whole “everyone is exhausted with political division/chaos” schtick though who knows what’ll happen.
More Dems need to think about skating to where the puck will be not where it is.

All indications are Trump's brain has turned to mush and no one around him will even try to control his worst impulses.

He will just get way crazier and more evil and unpopular by November.

Liberal pundits are everywhere in the MSM talking about how MAGA voters are angry because they feel that Liberals do not like/respect them. There is no equivalent version of this where Conservative pundits talk about how the rest of the country feels about whether they are liked/respected.

I am so fucking tired of these pointless fucking fights over rhetoric; if you have a plan for meaningful reform of immigration enforcement you should just release and it and call it whatever the fuck you want.
ICE may be shooting people in the face, sending people to concentration camps, and illegally occupying our cities but, apparently, the Democrats think saying, "abolish ICE" is "emotional" and politically "lethal."

I actually think the contrast here is key to understanding American politics; it's not just that Democrats and Republicans act differently, it's that people have different expectations and demands of them. The people who celebrate Trump's aggression would not reward the same from Democrats.

I always think about how normie Dem voters and their views are the ones we hear least about despite how desperately everyone thinks otherwise.
The mainstream media believes the only opinion that counts is conservative. When a democrat wins the presidency they talk to conservative voters, when a republican wins they… talk to conservatives.

Sen. Kevin Cramer: "Maybe the point should be if you're the attorney for Jay Powell and you want to avoid an indictment, how about you go to Jeanine Pirro and say, 'I'll make a deal. I'll step down today if you drop the investigation today.' To me, that would be a win win for everybody."

The obsession with “porn addiction” on the right has to be one of the funnier and more obvious examples of projection.
That actually kind of sounds like your fantasy, Naomi.

Which side tried to violently overturn a free and fair election at the highest level with the entire party unanimously enabling and standing by it to this day?
It’s not even so much about “sane” vs. “insane” anymore, as it so often was circa 2020. The fundamental split today is between the *decent* and the *indecent.* It is monstrous to desire, excuse, sanitize, whitewash avoidable killing even of one’s perceived foes.

i don’t think the intention of noting the victim’s citizenship is to imply that one life is more valuable, but rather to shake anyone out of complacency and apathy if they assumed their passport would shield them from the violence and brutality of their own government

Yeah I just don’t understand why the government behaving immorally on a minute by minute basis isn’t worthy of coverage.
I keep going back to this. This is a taunt. They're taunting us. There is no other possible interpretation of what they're doing.

But media simply ignores this deranged behavior, because if they talk about it, one must conclude that DHS is a rogue agency, of villainous paramilitary thugs.

God that last sentence is so striking for how true it is. Cold take I know but across the left spectrum people constantly try to appeal to the center and the right by agreeing “the left has gone too far!”

Meanwhile the right concedes NOTHING, including literally trying to overthrow the gov lol
So has The Argument re-evaluated their post on the importance of staying on Twitter now that it is an automated revenge porn and CSAM producer? Or do we have to preach liberalism among the Nazi pedophiles (read: make left punching posts that are popular among them but don’t change their POV).
