I actually think the contrast here is key to understanding American politics; it's not just that Democrats and Republicans act differently, it's that people have different expectations and demands of them. The people who celebrate Trump's aggression would not reward the same from Democrats.

I always think about how normie Dem voters and their views are the ones we hear least about despite how desperately everyone thinks otherwise.
The mainstream media believes the only opinion that counts is conservative. When a democrat wins the presidency they talk to conservative voters, when a republican wins they… talk to conservatives.
