You can do a lot locally with a dedicated group of 15 to 40 people. Regular people should be thinking at that scale rather than at the scale of thousands.

A several people have pointed out, Dark City came out before The Matrix, but it’s always felt to me like the opposite was true.

I also find it interesting that in about the span of a year, four decent movies covering similar themes were released: Dark City, The Matrix, eXistenZ, and The 13th Floor.
Tonight we’re watching one of the greatest sci fi movies ever made: Dark City, a brilliant film that had the unfortunate luck to be released right in The Matrix’ shadow.

There should be a reverse Christmas where a magical man comes to your house and takes away a bunch of junk. But the government won't allow this because it doesn't help the economy

Love how after the new iPhone update, after cropping a screenshot, the save button disappears and is hidden under an ellipsis, so I get confused and select the “discard changes” button instead, which permanently deletes the photo. Stellar.

This is your daily iPhone shitty-UX update observation.

How Do We Relationship? and Otherside Picnic would be my top two by far. Honorable mention to Doughnuts under a Crescent Moon. If I can include a visual novel, then I’ll throw in A Summer’s End - Hong Kong 1986.

I’ll always remember a good friend asking me if I’d ever seen Brazil. I said yes, and she responded, “Then how come you never told me about it before?!”

Lessee… I’ve seen The Mystery of the Wax Museum, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Yankee Doodle Dandy, and Casablanca, all of which were pretty solid. I tried watching White Christmas but got bored and turned it off. Bah humbug, I suppose.

Old Skies was for sure one of my top gaming experiences this year. It's a point and click adventure game in the traditional style with modern sensibilities and a story that is alternatingly whimsical and existential. Absolutely lovely.

I once had a coworker who came in one day wearing extremely brand new pants.

Someone complimented him on his fancy pants, and it caused him to go into a sulk spiral.

Eventually everyone was complimenting him on his fancy pants, while he got more and more mad about it.
