So weird that Firefox rose up as an open source alternative to Explorer, and now people are migrating to an open source alternative to Firefox (Waterfox)

Time is a flat circle, die a hero etc etc
Mozilla has a new CEO and he just announced that Firefox will evolve into a modern AI browser. This is a good example of how management doesn’t understand its own user base and why they go out of their way to install Firefox on Windows, Android, iOS and other devices blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/l...

Don't play the game for two reasons:

1) JKR said she pledges the majority of her net worth towards anti-trans causes. This is much worse than other "problematic" creators

2) It's not a school life sim like Bully, and I don't want to encourage any developer that somehow missed a slam dunk like that

People clown on Reddit(and there is plenty to clown on it for) but basically anytime I am searching for something now I ignore all the results till I find the top link to a Reddit thread about it and then read that
I'll add that as someone who not that long ago spent many frantic nights looking for information on sleep training, feeding, etc etc--by far the most valuable internet resource was reddit, the only place with human advice. Everything else is basically useless at this point.
This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.

It says a lot that AI “artists” are so creatively bankrupt they think writing prompts is a difficult, arduous task.

You realize coming up with a prompt is what a real artist would call “having an idea,” right?

It took them weeks of sleepless nights to have some basic thoughts.
McDonald's has released an AI-generated Christmas ad

The studio behind it says they 'hardly slept' for several weeks while writing AI prompts and refining the shots — 'AI didn't make this film. We did'

If these fuckos want to save money, they can go back to playing the same McChristmas commercial that played through most of my childhood. Lord help me for handing it to McDonalds, but at least it reminds me that Christmas is a fun and magical time for kids, not miserable.

It’s really simple…

- Cap all political donations
- Ban foreign donations
- Strict conflict‑of‑interest & anti‑corruption laws with penalties
- No titles, honours or peerages for donors
- No govt contracts for donors
- Publish every donation/lobby meeting

…that’ll do it.

Dislike the sound of plans for a digital ID roll-out?

There are good reasons!!

Immigrants in the UK are already subject to a digital ID system & it's been a mess since day one.
Very important report here from brilliant Migrant Voice with @openrightsgroup.org explains the key issues 🤓👇
You can read about the launch of the report on our website, along with a range of issues raised by speakers. Not only did we hear about way in which the digital immigration system excludes many migrants, we also heard how it can put abuse victims at further risk.

I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.

Abandon Twitter for good. It's time. It's been time.

Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies instead. It’s already getting hard to build an affordable PC, and the exit of the longstanding provider of consumer memory is going to make that even more challenging www.theverge.com/news/837594/...
