I'm sure there are good parents with kids who cut them out of their lives for no good reason. The fallible nature of man means that sorta thing will happen sometimes. But, tbh, I've never seen that situation represented by the parents angry about it

Because every fucking movie I want to watch turns out to be unavailable on the half-dozen streaming services I pay for, and renting it for 48 hours from Amazon costs the same as owning it forever on a DVD that also has special features and doesn't record my viewing habits for better sales targeting.

Just a reminder that ICE didn't exist until 2002. It's not some longstanding institution that must be maintained. It was created as a knee-jerk reaction to 9/11, and it could be gotten rid of as easily as it was created.

The most baffling thing to me about Animal Farm (2025) is that while the villain is obviously based on Elon Musk (with the parodies of Cybertrucks and all), they chose to make it a woman who looks almost exactly like Elon Musk's real life mother.

I've been engaging with Animal Farm content and have been restating the info that Angel has been involved more than they probably were. I'm still surprised they picked it up for distro given Laverne Cox's casting.

Apparently, Angel did not produce this. They merely acquired distribution rights months after its premiere at the Annecy Animation Film Festival. Netflix had distribution rights at one point during production.
