This has not gotten much attention, but it should.

Virginia under Youngkin returned to an insanely harsh system where people convicted of any felony lose their voting rights FOR LIFE.

Dems' win this week mean they'll get to advance a constitutional amendment to end lifetime disenfranchisement.

Russia was kicked out of the G8 in March 2014 exactly BECAUSE it launched its war in Ukraine by invading and forcibly annexing Crimea.
Trump with Mark Carney: "The G7 used to be the G8. Barack Obama and a person named Trudeau didn't want to have Russia in, and I would say that was a mistake, because I think you wouldn't have a war right now if you had Russia in."

In attacking universities, Trump is actively harming American national interests.

Here's a taste of what now-frozen Dept of Defense grants to Cornell supported. Note how much of this research is in line w/GOP's priorities, historically.

Also frozen: grants from Depts of Ag, HHS (NIH), Ed, etc.

Superb interview w/ Princeton president Chris Eisgruber - a model of resistance that is thoughtful, clear-eyed, but adamant of ultimate lines to draw -- applies for all univ and law and media too. Really worth a listen.

I wrote about the things I think are missing from the Dem discourse:
1) scope of the losses (you'd think this was 1984)
2) how media struggles to explain a second Trump win; easier to yell at Dems
3) there might not be a grand theory. it might be uninformed voters' vibes.
