Despite being a bit obsessed with this whole extraction shooter thing, I've actively avoided playing Arc Raiders due to the AI voices. I genuinely felt like the only one grossed out by it

It really is that simple.
The thing that gets me about ARC’s use of fully generated barks, as well as in The Finals, is that the juice is absolutely not worth the squeeze in a game that is unquestionably high effort. Like it sounds bad because there isn’t a human performance to ground it.

I think I've unlocked Obsession with game development for the first time in 5 years. I tend to go all in on hobbies for months at a time, to the point it's all I can think about. Gamedev has been a constant, but it's been that thing I'd plug away at once I'd done my current obsession that week.

Shout out to the regular at my shop in the camo maga hat and the "My pronouns are sa/to/shi" bitcoin shirt at my shop that always looks like he's trying not to be recognized when he comes in.
