Weird how the mad rush of corporations to dispense with DEI and out-racist each other is definitive proof of the need for DEI in the first place.

Congressperson John Lewis, whose ‘good trouble’ they love to quote so much, was arrested 45 times in his life. The last was in 2013 protesting for immigrants, during the Obama presidency.

To understand the faction leading America, recognize they think the worst, most terrifying things to happen in recent years are:
1) George Floyd protests
2) Public health treating COVID as real
3) HR saying "we've received complaints about your, um, 'jokes'"
4) Press 1 for English
5) Pronouns in bio

He was telling the best story. The story was a lie, but it was a story. And most of the media wasn’t interested in telling a different story, because their bosses wanted him to win.
The most surreal and maddening feature of the campaign was that everyone agreed that high prices were the main issue but the guy explicitly, consistently running on a platform of raising everyone’s prices won voters most concerned about high prices.

We hammered this time and time again and yet.

No joke: The ill-considered, lightning fast adoption of these faulty technologies across different sectors of society is nothing less than a mass cult conversion. It's the Kool Aid at scale, and we're treating it like a nice calming cup of green tea
An AI answering service took a message from me for my doctor the other day.

The medical receptionist called me the next day because the AI service wasn’t able to give them a coherent message.

This is at a CARDIOLOGIST’s office, by the way.

US Trade Flows: many Americans think China is the largest US trading partner. It’s actually Mexico & Canada & the trading relationships are governed under the USMCA and generally has no or minimal taxes and is the foundation of the integrated North American auto manufacturing supply chain. #Econsky

A Trump-appointed judge just struck down a Biden rule expanding overtime pay to 4 million working people.

It's really surprising how little media coverage this has received. Trump faced no real questions about this issue during the campaign. 1/

My take? For optimal benefits, build out a varied RE system w/ a mix of wind, water, solar, & geothermal. That will minimize the need for storage, lowering costs & providing other benefits. It reminds me of this famous 2009 editorial cartoon by Joel Pett. We have the tech to do this. Will we? 🧪🔌💡☀️💨🔋
