Had 35 people attend our DSA 101 last night. Based on the comments from a breakout I led, 90% of them (including longtime members who had never gotten involved before) were showing up because of Zohran’s victory. People don’t care how right we are… they want to see us win things.

I hate the "the protests are small! they're overreacting!" framing! even if the protests were as big or bigger than they were in 2020, it still wouldn't justify the occupation of a city by troops!!!

Between the fires and these protests, I hope this year teaches everyone that most of the shit talking you hear about California and more specifically, LA, comes from racists and gentrifying transplants. Most people love living here and would do anything to protect it.
