Something that's getting lost in this story is that the "instructor" in question is not a professor with a PhD; she is a Graduate Teaching Assistant, meaning the University of Oklahoma has thrown one of ITS OWN STUDENTS under the bus to appease a right wing grifter who tried to dunk on a trans woman

If the Equality Act had never existed, and someone proposed to pass a law banning women’s organisations from choosing to welcome trans people, we’d think it was a pretty extreme proposal. I don’t think it’s less extreme because it’s come about as a result of a new interpretation of an old law.

this part is so maddening, and lays bare the ridiculous situation the supreme court has allowed, if you don't want your daughter to go to a girl's youth group that is trans inclusive there are plenty of options available! you shouldn't have the right to change one that is explicit in its beliefs!

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Sorry, but wtf. If she "acted with integrity and with a dedicated and exemplary commitment to public service", how can there be a breach of the ministerial code? If she received advice she reasonably believed to be adequate given the complex situation and acted on that advice, how can she be liable?
