What does it mean to speak out? Do I need to say more than my beliefs to everyone I know? I fear that our world is so siloed that we won’t be able to get to each other. Nobody I know disagrees anymore.

We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

When Sam Darnold stood in and took that shot and got the TD pass to JSN…you just knew. He would not let what seemed to always happen to him, happen again. What a game from the quarterback who has been so resilient in all ways.

Works for any definition of union.
What a stark, horrifying demonstration of the tension a union opens itself to when it organizes security forces.

If you hesitate to condemn the killing of a member, for fear of alienating the members who fired the guns, what sort of cage have you built around your union?
My god.

Statement from AFGE: Alex was a member. His killer may have been as well.

it's never the crazy weird conspiracy theory weapons. they are poisoning you with toxins they are well-documented to have. they are beating you with ordinary sticks and shooting you with ordinary guns

the only conspiracy is how they gained legal immunity to do this
My group was able to recover a spent canister from a green smoke grenade in Minneapolis. We now confirm with physical evidence that it was a green signaling grenade.

Please don't spread rumors about hexachloroethane or nerve agents.

“Why are Europeans and Canadians so mean?”

Because our country threatened a war of aggression.

“Why aren’t Americans doing anything?”

1500 US Army arctic warfare specialists are literally incapable of deploying to Greenland due to domestic protests over dissidents being publicly murdered.

In one year, Trump has poisoned our information environment and broken a lot of institutions that mistakenly believed they were powerful.

Also true: the future is unwritten, in our hands, and anyone who says that we're doomed is effectively an enemy.

is taking greenland morally justified? no. but at least it also makes no sense on the basis of cold-eyed realpolitik and the public hates the idea of doing it

i think, however, this is a crystal clear example that the next cold war is actually democracy vs autocracy and the battle lines run right through every single advanced democracy. there aren't really any safe harbors.

Blowing up NATO by attacking the territory of an ally may be a feature not a bug to some advocates.

Wonder which countries would benefit from the destruction of NATO...
NEWSMAX: If we take Greenland, can we get out of NATO and stop paying $50 billion a year?

REP. RANDY FINE: NATO needs the US a lot more than the US needs NATO. Greenland should be part of the United States.

Elon Musk chatbot repeatedly making CSAM on demand should be one of the single biggest stories right now and it's effectively a collective shrug instead
