As the climate crisis melts ice, it's opening up vast new swaths of oil and gas in the Arctic. I've been covering this topic for years and was at a conference in Norway a few years back at which everyone assured, "the next war for oil will be the Arctic." And Trump likes chaos and power.

hey, elected officials? nobody who says anything like revamp or reform or rehabilitate or retrain ICE has my vote. i don't want ICE 2.0. i don't want "hurt and terrorize and murder and abduct my neighbors but in a more socially acceptable way." get them fucking gone and maybe we'll talk

Call me crazy, but I don't think the question of whether or not Bovino belongs in his job depends on whether or not he deletes the tweet he made calling protesters "cannon fodder." Making the tweet (along with many other things he's done) should disqualify him from any law enforcement job ever.

The Oglala Sioux Tribe is still trying to locate four members kidnapped by ICE agents in Minneapolis last week, and many Native people in the Twin Cities have felt scared to leave the house to go to work or get groceries.
