Groomed, but what worries me more is that all our political elites have learned (and are being taught) that the politically safe response is inaction. Bar owners are scarier than pandemics. Caring about health inequalities is a loser. It involves rewriting political history but it’s clearly working.

In an interesting turn of events, I have to keep hiding the kids’ Halloween hauls from her because she has no reservations to eat whatever she wants from them. If left to her own devices she’d probably eat half their candy!
Me: Why do you keep hiding the candy?
Wife: Because if you know where it is it will be gone by the end of the day. Your little impulsive ADHD brain just can’t cope.
Me: …I feel like that’s ableist.

RFK is undoing human subjects protections so he can conduct placebo trials of vaccines. That means infecting people knowingly. I wonder who will “volunteer” for these trials? If history is any guide, a lot of incarcerated and other powerless people.
Dismantling the Institutional Review Board (IRB), that oversees all human subjects research, is bad. Really bad.

One unexpected benefit I’ve had from being on a GLP-1 agonist as someone with ADHD is a definite boost to my productivity because the distraction of constant cravings for snacks is so profoundly attenuated.
