Went for a walk on Dartmoor yesterday & found these little water spouts bubbling up in a place that's bone dry in Spring & Summer. Today, an ecologist has explained to me these are 'ephemeral springs': where the bedrock on Dartmoor is impermeable granite, the water can't sink past the bedrock.

And for sure, diversify and hold on to the rules where the US isn't involved. Develop better rules against weaponisation of trade. But don't get into beating yourself up because that's part of the psychological trick here.
