wrong. living in New York City is about frantically swiping your metrocard as your train arrives, repeatedly getting an error, and in the span of a half second evaluating whether you still have the athleticism to jump a turnstile. if you don’t like that then move to fucking Boston.
the amount of sad you should feel about the retirement of the NYC Metrocard should be like “mildly wistful pre-nostalgia” — more than that, IMO, is kinda silly

it’s very funny to be asked what you like about Trump’s policies and say that you like his demolition of the East Wing
Trump’s approval is under 40% so naturally the New York Times found a whole bunch of people that support or defend what he’s doing, including a Kamala 2024 voter who regrets his vote lmao

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said that her defense of survivors of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein caused her breakup with Trump.

Greene said the president told her if the identities of the men in the files were revealed, some of his “friends will get hurt."

Expectant mothers were left so hungry after the U.S. cut foreign food aid that one woman ate clay and charcoal.

Her baby struggled to gain weight after being born prematurely.

One of the most incredible shots I've ever gotten, in Yellowstone. This coyote walked over a ridge in the blowing snow and posed for me, with a small grin on its face, the snowfalkes like stars in the background.

The desolation and beauty of life and nature is grounding, and so good for the soul.

A small (personal) example of this book’s intellectual dishonesty:

My father-in-law is reading In Covid’s Wake, and excitedly told me he found a passage where I’m quoted. The quote in question is me saying the FBI worked to censor speech on social media.

Huh? When did I say that?!

Literally all experts say fentanyl is not a weapon. Not just health experts, but military/defense, weapons, diplomacy, and foreign policy experts. Why do we have to frame every stupid lie he makes as “some people say he is wrong” when he is very clearly just objectively wrong and lying?
President Trump describes fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction that fuels lawlessness, saying the opioid is “closer to a chemical weapon than a narcotic.” But some experts say it is a stretch to call an addictive drug a weapon of mass destruction.
Trump declared fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction. What does it mean?
The declaration of fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction is the latest move by President Donald Trump casting the nation’s deadly drug crisis as a national security issue.

His deed was "his way of conveying his gratitude for staying in Australia, for being granted citizenship."
