FINALLY GOT IT!

I've taken well over 100,000 pelican pictures, maybe 200,000.

Over 20,000 the past month alone.

Today, I snagged "The One That Got Away"

In my infinite optimism, I give you, a very rare:

Fish success story.

Reading letters from the Princess Liselotte of Palantine, the German sister-in-law of Louis XIV, and it's wild because she had this super informal writing style that almost sounds like modern texts

Like at one point she goes "wish to god my son didn't love holding chunks of bread like a peasant"

The way we avoid having to do all of this again in 8 or 12 or 16 or 24 years is by imprinting a generational memory of, "oh, the last time they did that, all of the top guys - I mean, the ones who survived - went to prison for the rest of their lives, and had their property seized."

I re-watched Jane Eyre recently, something that once had greatly captured me during my young life, but also a thing I had put out of my mind later in life. (I enjoyed the book and various adaptations). It was something I strongly related to but not for the reasons I was supposed to.

In the rewatch, I realized the reasons that I related a lot to it as a young person, that the transmasculinity in it is not subtle, and also the story in KPOP Demon hunters. It deals with a relationship of two people who are like each other and understand each other.

Authorities - what a lot of people don't appreciate (mostly because until recently it was taken for granted) is that there is (or at least is supposed to be) direct traceability between any order for military action involving the use of force and the authority authorizing that action
On the one hand I don't think it's unreasonable to expect any commissioned officer to understand that "inherent Art II powers" are not sufficient authorization for use of force, so right on down to the trigger puller

On the other SOCOM's authorities are a rat's nest thanks to the GWOT so
How many people involved in knew or should have known they were executing an illegal order?
