I was just thinking last night about how much I miss my moths. I used to spend spring & summer nights mothing but I haven't this season because my apartment complex installed super bright floodlights everywhere that drown out my little UVs. they were so cool to see

Look at what happened to divorce rates in Mexico when some areas extended the school day by 3.5 hours!

Why did divorce rates go up as a result of the change?

They're inventing inspectors and inspectors of inspectors because the current political economy isn't workable without bullshit jobs.
It seems like an increasingly large part of the workforce are people whose job is to get someone else to do something, and this is the only way they can make it look like they're working.

It's telling that, in response to this, men predominantly would rather enslave women than do their half of the work. The idea of a society wherein men and women complement each other continues to be unsustainable and the men are going to have to cave.

I have come to accept a simpler and more general argument against billionaires: by their very nature they impose centralized planning over economy they infest, becoming de-facto communist planners, and thus impose upon their habitat all the pathologies that rise from impossibility of planned econ
It may be finally sinking in that a world of radical wealth inequality is unstable, actually.

There should be reward for good work, yes. There should not be outsize reward for being born rich.

Thus the pathologization that occurs in response to transition in order to reify the rigidity of AGAB: if a trans woman merely transitions out of a fetish, delusion, or porn addiction, then not only does this trivialize transition as an unserious vanity project within the assigned gender rather than
That fear of freedom is a fear of chaos. If male and female are mutable, the transphobe seems to say, then what other apparently basic coordinates are? That chaos is a threat to an order that provides their ontological security—hence any threat is met with aversion and control.
This. Lots of people, including lots of feminists, have a deep psychological attachment to gender. Genders are natural and immutable "sex classes" that provide order to the social world, and transness is a freedom that threatens that order. Transphobia is a manifestation of the fear of freedom.

The connection been Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein is no accident, but reveals a deep logic at the heart of reactionary politics.

There's a general conservative psychological need to believe there is a certain Way Things Are Supposed To Be. But this is also deeper than just a normative sentiment. They desperately desire to feel moored, rooted. It's not enough for them to see A=B as a useful axiom, they need to see it as a fact

If you can spare it, please join me in helping their sister Amanda with funeral costs and assistance with emptying the apartment.

Thank you.

Mein Kommentar: www.nd-aktuell.de/artikel/1192...
