As I held an event today in Alexandria, several attendees were called to be legal observers at an ICE raid.

Trump’s mass deportation agenda is causing fear, confusion, and chaos - not just in the metro, but all across Minnesota.

We need ICE OUT of MN.

Little known fact: this platform was conceived during "Halt and Catch Fire" season 3 (set in 1986).

Heartily agree. The original plan, if memory serves, extended the line to Rice, which I found very odd. But to St. Cloud? That made great sense.
The ONLY reason Northstar failed was because Pawlenty failed to insist the route include St Cloud.
I took the last Northstar train into Minneapolis this morning. The loss of Northstar is a big loss for Fridley - we invested millions to build the platform and tunnel and adjacent housing. Learn more about one more chance to ride, and the Route 827 bus service replacing it.

There are a lot of things wrong with this post, but from a librarians perspective let me just very plainly state that library late fees are a tax on the poor people and children who use libraries and a barrier to entry for many more who avoid libraries because of economic anxiety over late fees.
The Arlington library is quite woke in terms of the children’s books they choose to highlight, but imo the place where they’ve really gone off the rails is they’ve gotten rid of fines.
