After action reviews are honestly no longer enough. It tells the cops shoot now, ask questions later. It’s how Minneapolis is BURIED in millions of dollars of police settlements. It’s how journalists and Soren Stevenson lost full fucking eyeballs. Welcome to Hell St Paulites.
Carter said he stood by the city's police department, and Police Chief Axel Henry maintained his department did not violate the city’s separation ordinance.

Carter said Henry has begun a full review of the use of force during Tuesday’s response.

Yeah let’s also not bother with caring or asking about what makes the kid(s) comfortable. You know, that whole “consent” thing.
Ahh yes, a totally real trend for which we totally have evidence

ALSO, today’s 1,200 word front page story by the Strib’s retail reporter (the Strib doesn’t have a labor reporter) devotes exactly one sentence to Target’s blunders, implying that the boycott was brief.

I wonder whether the retail reporter ever reads the letters to the editor; this one ran on Sat.

Fun fact: MPD can ticket you for expired tabs if your car is parked for days in front of your house.

Curious if this violates the strict morals of safe streets advocates, so scold away if that gets you off.

I’m shocked at how many idiots act like you’re doxxing them by looking at their public history. Just own it.
I love when people get all upset that you looked at their post history. HOW DARE YOU MENTION THE THINGS I MYSELF POSTED PUBLICLY

Lowry has claimed at least one of my tires annually over the last 10 years, this path was long overdue.

If this is what we get instead of closing the 18th Ave trail gap (which will never happen because railroads), I can deal.
Love the new protected bike lane in NE Minneapolis—in the last 15 years of living in this neighborhood, I never thought I’d see the day I’d bike Lowry Ave. Now we can! We need to imagine good things, because they can materialize with vision and hard work!

Benny Johnson is a serial plagiarist that was fired from BuzzFeed in 2014 and also he sexually harassed a bunch of dude co-workers. So this whole career arc totally tracks.
Benny Johnson had perhaps the best 2025 of any streamer on the right, drawing more than 1 billion YouTube views as he hobnobbed with Trump administration power players and GOP elites.

His job is to have no principles. Business is booming. www.mediamatters.org/benny-johnso...

Tina Smith is a real one in a similar vein to Tammy Baldwin. Doesn't court public controversy, pushes back clearly and forcefully, gets shit done without asking for praise. Will be a bummer to see her leave.
Wow — Senators Van Hollen, Smith, Murphy, Sanders, Warren, Markey, Merkley, Heinrich have created an official internal "Fight Club."

They're challenging Schumer & Gillibrand's leadership, arguing the party is using an old, corporate-friendly playbook insufficient to take on Trump or win elections.

When was the last time the people AND law enforcement agreed on something? The GOP's entire governing philosophy is just "nu uh" in policy form, what a joke.
Let us be crystal clear:

This is proven to keep road users AND law enforcement safe. It is a massive tax savings compared to the alternative. AND it was supported by law enforcement.

Rep. Greg Davids should look at the facts they're strongly in favor of this common sense initiative.

Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

We warned you that self-driving cars would just create self-driving traffic jams, and here they are.

The car industry has no solution to the shortage of space in cities. Public transit, cycling, and walking are all part of the answer, but cars are not.

This is the plot of the 2018 classic Hayden Christensen/Emma Roberts movie, Little Italy.
* Two brothers in NYC both claimed to have invented the six-foot-long party sub. Their shops were in adjacent storefronts and they tried to sabotage each other in various ways for decades. They didn't speak to each other directly for many years, but they did take their feud to court.
