✨ A few years back I stood outside Wells Cathedral for a full day and photographed the impact of the light on the front facade. I was amazed at the outcome - at how a single entity could morph and change under the changing light. 🌅 #thread

Hell yeah. Sorry Poland, you have to be decent now.
BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

Man, it’s 2025. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years since Megatron was routed at his sneak attack on Autobot City.

We were robbed! I just imagine what the soundtrack would have been like! But I guess he did go on to create Twin Peaks
Just learned that David Lynch did a handshake deal in the early '90s to write and direct an adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo's DOMU

It’s fun to think about the surgeon who will botch your surgery 20 years from now and what he’s doing at this moment. He just ran all his homework through ChatGPT. He just read that article about vaccines and autism at the CDC website. He just watched an Instagram video about the moon landing hoax.

Zohran Mamdani doesn’t make me, an American Jew, feel unsafe.

Having the Coast Guard, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, decide that a swastika isn’t really a symbol of hate? That makes me, an American Jew, feel pretty damn unsafe.

I don't know anything about "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die" aside from what I've seen in the trailer, but I feel VERY strongly that Peter Stormare should be in it.

Bought this for $1; the cover was cool and it sounded fun. (An even more sardonic “Running Man”? Yes, please!) But it was the laudatory pull quotes from Douglas Adam’s AND John Le Carré that persuaded me.

It was fine; I had higher expectations based who the quotes came from.

Read the first two books in the Heechee Saga by Frederik Pohl. Knew he was important in SFF, but only knew him from that quote about not just predicting cars but being able to predict traffic jams.
Both good, but liked Gateway more.

first it's pensions, then it's healthcare, then vacation, finally it's the wages, pretty soon you're just going to one box to work all day for no money and going to another to get the rest of snap to eat, which sounds a lot like how they described the soviet union to me in the 80s but what do i know
Is this good? It doesn't seem good.

Read ババヤガの夜 (Night of the Babayaga) a few weeks back. Pretty fun action-crime story starts straightforward but takes a few sharp turns I didn’t see. It definitely falls into the category of fuck the yakuza and doesn’t romanticize them at all.
