Like the hatching of cicadas, the discovery that women are human with independent thoughts, emotions, and sexual desire, cycles around and everyone is surprised by it. Then everyone will forget and revert to unsatisfying slop until a new show emerges that we go berserk for, and it will start anew.
Why Would Women Like Naked Gorgeous Men Talking About Their Emotions. Why Would Women Like Beautiful Sexy Men Yearning Sexily. Why Would Women Like Sculpted Butts And True Love. The Female Mind Is An Enigma.

I…wouldn’t it be better to enforce the existing laws against presidents invading at will and whim? Will they introduce a new resolution for each threatened country? They’ll have no time to do anything but.
Sen. Ruben Gallego says he's introducing a resolution to block Trump from invading Greenland.

I am struggling with what might be a generational experience. The gulf war was pretty politically formative for me. It’s not history so much as memory this time.

It is destabilizing to see almost the exact same gameplan but this time without the guardrails that at the time I took for granted.

If you or someone you know have been a victim of the sexualized deepfakes created by Grok and would like to discuss your civil legal options, DM me or reach out on Signal at riot.95. I can connect you with excellent free legal counsel.
Unless I'm missing something, and I'm pretty sure I'm not, Twitter's AI is cranking out CSAM deepfakes, Elon Musk is making jokes about it, and nobody is doing anything to stop it or hold anyone at Twitter accountable for its creation and distribution.

Is that right?

This is a good visual. Looks like in order to ensure we have proof that we mailed something on a specific day, we will have to stand in line at the post office and request a manual post mark.

pretty crazy for basically a couple of poor/marginalized trans women come together and produce a news outlet that is making national headlines and re-reported by multiple outlets within months of getting starte.

And I promise you will see more huge news reported by us very soon!
Currently, TNN operates on a yearly budget of just over $40,000. For comparison, some major media outlets have budgets that extend into the billions--tens of thousands times our budget.

Despite the gap, yesterday's NYT piece was the #2 performing news article on Bluesky for the day (BlueReport)
'A directive from above': Former NYT editor lays out how the paper pushes anti-trans bigotry
In this in-depth interview, former New York Times editor Billie Jean Sweeney details how the paper shifted towards openly promoting anti-trans hatred, how some staff tried to stop it, how it's directe...

The pure schadenfreude joy #Minneapolis is taking seeing this ICE SUV stuck in less than 3 inches of #snow is just everything. You really have to know #Minnesotans to know how this is antithetical to everything we are in #Winter, where we'll shovel even Packer fans out; but no help coming here. 😜

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Boosting this because this has major implications for things like mail in voting.
USPS quietly changed its postmark rules — mail is no longer dated when you drop it off. The “official” date is when it hits automated sorting — sometimes days later

Which could have major implications for mail in voting — it’s a clever way to disenfranchise voters that’s going largely overlooked

An essential development over the past decade-plus is that the ignorant went from feeling chastened when their ignorance was revealed to banding together and deciding that, actually, they were right. They might disagree at times, but they agreed that ignorance itself was an indicator of trust.

was SHOCKED when an ex said he wouldn't be okay with LGBTQ kids. at the time we dated, his two closest friends were queer and publicly recognized for their advocacy. he was also pretty vocal about pushing back against people making homophobic statements.
a lesson in asking about this q about kids
Before having kids, I would need to know that my partner would love & accept the kid if they ended up being part of the LGBTQ+ community. I don’t even want to take the chance with someone who wouldn’t be accepting.
