The scope and scale of the wanton destruction across Gaza - buildings, trees, fields, hospitals, schools, universities, churches, mosques, streets, homes, *people* - is staggering. All of it with the support and funding of American administrations of both parties. Shameful.
This photo of Gaza City had to be illicitly taken during a Jordanian food drop because Israel has threatened to cancel drops of any photos are taken.

I’ve long said that a lot of the resistance to adequately funding research into MECFS and long COVID is that a lot of medical professionals are ideologically opposed to the idea of a condition where exercise makes you worse.
A new study suggests that exercise doesn’t clear microclots in people with Long COVID—it just fragments them into smaller ones. These smaller clots are linked to increased inflammation and impaired oxygen transport, which may help explain PEM & PESE—the worsening of symptoms after even mild effort.

The government’s disability cuts could breach equality law due to their “devastating” impact on women’s dignity, experts warn.

The new rules won’t take into account menstruation or some women’s extra toilet needs.

Covid taught us so much about airborne transmission

It provided an opportunity to adapt & build a “new normal” that was safer for all

Had we invested in clean air, normalized masking (especially in healthcare) and pushed for paid time off, we could have beaten the virus

We would all be healthier

This government, urgh. Not the first clue what it can mean to be disabled or chronically ill, and how many extra costs you incur.
Jeez. This is awful. @richardburgon.bsky.social asked the Gov’t why people will no longer get PIP who need help to go to the toilet, cut up food or wash themselves.

The response is appalling.

It claims these disabled people just need "small interventions or the addition of aids or appliances”

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
