Pulitzer, surely.
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

A very familiar chart in this screenshot.
I did anothr version of my "Saga of Mulicore OCaml" talk, but this time, nerve-wrackingly, the authors of the original paper were all there!

Here's the link to the talk, which is found towards the end of the recording for the whole session.

Not sure whose fault it is primarily that most people don't seem to know that the president is basically a manager whose job is to carry out the will of Congress, and not The Country's Boss
This “explicit” is a weird editorial choice. The constitution gives the president no power over this at all. It’s not ambiguous.

You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who’s coming to save you?

We’ll be fine. Season 3.

Discworld QOTD, from Feet of Clay

“Men said things like "peace in our time" or "an empire that will last a thousand years," and less than half a lifetime later no one even remembered who they were, let alone what they had said or where the mob had buried their ashes.”
Discworld QOTD, from Moving Pictures

‘“Twas beauty killed the beast,” said the Dean, who liked to say things like that.

“No it wasn’t,” said the Chair. “It was splatting into the ground like that.”’
Discworld QOTD, from Unseen Academicals

“The Librarian was not familiar with love, which had always struck him as a bit ethereal and soppy, but kindness, on the other hand, was practical. You knew where you were with kindness, especially if you were holding a pie it had just given you.”

Do they really think they can scare us with the word “socialist” when they are literally sending out men in masks with no warrants and no badges to disappear people off American streets?

I know what I’m scared of, and it’s not a socialist.
