As a Jew I am far, FAR more alarmed by our institutions equating me and other Jews with the IDF, who are responsible for the murder of over 80,000 Palestinians, by dint of framing any critique against the IDF as ‘antisemitism.’

Linking all Jews to the IDF is *actual* fucking antisemitism.

Firearm backed KAP has been wanting to kill Qld crocs for decades. Banned from criminalising women, they've gone for their next "best" policy & David Fully-Costed has let them.

Conservationist Bob Irwin labels crocodile culling 'a pointless exercise'
Katter's Australian Party is proposing new legislation that would allow crocodile culls and safari style hunting trips in Queensland. That bill is currently before a parliamentary inquiry.

You can’t lie when you sell someone a chicken, but it’s entirely legal to lie in political advertising in Australia.

The deliberate spread of misinformation by parties and other groups was a prominent feature of the recent election.

We have to fix this problem in the 48th Parliament.

Tim Wilson has already started up his superannuation tax war with Labor

Tim Wilson as usual won’t tell u the facts..

Fact: Superannuation over $3m will be taxed at a higher rate & only the amount above $3m

Fact: Big super amounts are a tax haven for rich ppl

Misleading fear campaigns may kill Labor’s superannuation changes. But here are the real numbers | Greg Jericho
Increasing the tax rate on superannuation balances above $3m would affect less than 1% of the population – and yet it is still unlikely to pass

The LNP continue to take responsibility only for being misunderstood. There's been successive statements "accepting responsibility" for not communicating better their policies and who they are. Ergo the problem is supposedly them being understood, not us understanding exactly what they are. #auspol

Of course rich people are bleating about this change. If you have more than $3m in super you are super rich and just hoarding. You ain’t gonna live forever! Get over yourselves. Good on you Jim Chalmers. Stick to your decision. #auspol
Not for turning: Chalmers rounds on super critics and stands by his plan
Critics have mounted a loud last-minute campaign to force changes to Jim Chalmers’ plan to change superannuation taxes. He says he’s not for turning.

What are your priorities? Mine really haven’t changed since the last election:

1. A strong NACC which goes after government corruption
2. A Royal Commission into the media in Australia
3. Anti-trust legislation
4. Disconnect our Defence from the U.S (and kill AUKUS)
5. Focus on renewables

I've heard from a reliable source that the LNP will be chaning their electoral slogan to 'getting Australia to backtrack', so that it matches their campaign path.

Is it likely that more people are set to lose their job through the closure of Jeans West than would lose their job through the farmed salmon sector in Tas?

If so - it’s really only some jobs they care about 🤔 #auspol

Phrases I'd like news reports to use:
• "unprovoked Russian invasion"
• "Gaza genocide"

Instead we get:
• "Ukraine's war with Russia"
(Russia is the aggressor, not Ukraine!)
• "the war in Gaza"
(Israel is murdering civilians!)
