Can't comment on Judge Smith's discussion of the factors considered for injunctive relief, but it's pretty sad that he keeps returning to The Most Obvious Reason For Redistricting Is Partisan Gain when Judge Brown's opinion hinges on the explicit race-based considerations DOJ and Abbott invoked.

Incredible galaxy brain idea: teach kids to read by inferring words from accompanying illustrations. Surely that will serve them well as they encounter verbal material later on.
