Trump’s golf trips add up costing taxpayers millions. Why doesn’t the GOP cut these trips instead of Medicaid?

IMPORTANT reminder for when you print zines:

Set your printer to "Scale: 100%"

Many printers automatically resize to 94% or something, which will shrink the image and give you weird borders when you fold the zine.

Scale: 100%.

And I swear, once again, this is not dunking on kids. We are seeing this at all levels--even grad students. AI + social media has had a profound impact on how we think and process our world, and we can't stop to reflect on it, because billionaires keep hurling addictive tech at us.

My actual serious answer to this is Sly & the Family Stone's "Everyday People", which is a legitimately great song on its own, would sound great with thousands of people singing along to it before a sporting event, and has lyrics that actually reflect the ideals that America supposedly aspires to.

Exactly! supporting indigenous organizations, artists and writers are on my holiday wish list!
It's not like I don't want little treats, I need the serotonin, but I've been more and more hard pressed to think of anything I could order on a website that would improve my life in even the most momentary way.

I love this so much.
When I went home to Mississippi last week, a Black farmer welcomed folks to pick greens from his land for free. It made me wonder whether other communities across the country were also giving back ahead of the holiday.

The answer: yes, they are.

big late breaking news: the market monitor for the largest energy grid in the u.s., covering much of the midwest and mid-atlantic, has called to block new data centers connections to the grid, saying current course of growth assures regular blackouts
No more PJM data centers unless they can be reliably served: market monitor
The PJM Interconnection’s market monitor urged the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to rule that large data centers can only come online if the grid operator can still meet reliability metrics.

National Guard troops don't sign up to be used as political pawns. They sign up to serve their country, not needlessly deploy to American cities to pick up garbage. These two soldiers should be alive right now and at home with their families for Thanksgiving. I'm furious.

The Trump Admin's assault on working people continues.

They are now trying to restrict student loan assistance for many in critical professions, including nurses.

These Americans provide essential functions for all of us. This attack will make staffing shortages worse & harm everyone.

Certain students may no longer receive the same loan for their studies as what counts as "professional" will determine how much they get.

I see the book piracy discourse is going around again and all I can say is I know more than one writer producing acclaimed work that is considering jacking it in or reducing the amount they write because they don't make to justify it vs a job job.

It's not only piracy, but piracy is costing us art.
