This is a good example of the decision making. This drawer opens along a wall with a door to a porch. The door trim would obstruct the path of a full width drawer.

So they made it narrower with a false front, and a seam ~2-3 inches from the right side.

CHECK OUT THE SECOND SHOT! It’s incredible! #birds
The bird on the top has a nice fish. The bird underneath tries to steal the fish. The bird with the fish drops the fish when it knows it's being attacked by the fish thief. A little bit of drama. This encounter was far away, so grainy, but fun to witness and capture.

Pretty cool visualization of a day of Metra operations in the Chicago area. Certainly looks more frequent than I would have thought, although evenings and weekends probably aren’t great.

HRRR doing a great job modeling a narrow cold frontal rainband today between southern Michigan and western Tennessee. Classic cold season setup for sneaky damaging wind potential.

I don't know, Aaron. I think we need to take this seriously. In fact, after surveying hundreds of years of history in the past few days, I've written an article assessing the originalist case here:

All the frontier AIs now pass all levels of the very challenging Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam

The paper used paywalled, new mock exams to reduce the risk of leakage but AI grading for the essays. Interestingly, prompting strategy doesn't matter for recent models. arxiv.org/pdf/2512.08270

What this underscores is a fundamental truth that while none of the rest of us need supremacists in our spaces, and are just fine without them, supremacists need the rest of us or they collapse against each other. Without them we're fine. Without us they've got nothing.
Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

They are literally begging regular people to come back. Don't do it! It is a website by and for actual Nazis!

Good story to wake up to and to remember in the days ahead.
When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

@techpolicypress.bsky.social asked me to comment on the White House's EO to block state AI laws. Shorter: its focus on interstate commerce, "truthful AI," & innovation are a flop. The President is not as powerful as he pretends. Enlisting DoJ & FTC won't help; they are bound by law.
