Redesigning Skyrim part 6:
Dawnstar
This is my vision of a bronze age Dawnstar. Now, many will be surprised by this, but Dawnstar is my favorite hold from Skyrim, there is something about their evil vibe on the snowy shore that entrances me.

RIP legendary American actor and filmmaker Robert Duvall (1931-2026).

He has starred in so many classics that we couldn't cover them all in one thread, but he has also done quite a bit of sci-fi: The Twilight Zone (1963), Countdown (1967), THX 1138 (1971), Invasion of the Body...

The wellness to eugenics to fascism pipeline is well documented.

It’s why disabled people beg you to stop treating us as expendable.

Health supremacy devalues other human beings.

It leads to deciding some lives are “worth” more than others.

It paves the way for atrocities.

Someone i care about told me they felt like a failure because they tried so many things and quit. Trying something out is living, putting it down when you want to is self care; it's HEALTHY. So many people are afraid to even try.

Bragging: I've quit more things than you've ever started

Man I'm so goddamn sick of ai. "Wahhh you can't have a reasonable conversation about ai on here," yeah maybe be mad about the two year parade of scam artists and financial charlatans and environmental ruiners who have radicalized everyone against the spell check that agrees with you

I hear a lot of people saying that ai makes art accessible.. well I personally think that's bullshit- so I made this to drive my point home.

Why so mad Republicans? It’s a fact. Melania sold herself to rich men for money and posed naked all the time. For “art” of course. Get used to it. It’s the truth. Spin it all you want. She was a whore and bedded Trump for the first time on Epstein’s plane that was heading to his child rape island.

1. People struggle to reconcile Keir Starmer’s ruthless ambition, Machiavellian manoeuvres, breaking of promises, collaboration in genocide, bans on protest, aid cuts, benefit cuts and war on nature with his history as a human rights lawyer. But perhaps there is no contradiction.

in an era when carnivore diet influencers are in charge of the american nuclear arsenal we have to admit the "annoying vegan" stereotype barely ever actually existed and the "all meat diet guy" is real, increasingly omnipresent, and way more annoying and inconvenient to actually be around

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

Not a free pass for corporate-owned slop engines.
Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

The time that made me an artist came from the sports I didn't play. From long summers with no library access when my friends were on vacation. From lunchtimes alone. That's a lot of us- we built something out of time and need.

"I want it now" won't get you there.

AI can't make you an artist. Only time can do that. And I hear AI users talking about hundreds of hours, but no. That's not TIME. Not the kind I'm talking about.

It takes years. Which is where people are like "years of free time is a privilege". Sure.
Except the time wasn't free, it was taken.
