"Cutting waste" is the same line that Reform used in the local elections last year

Since those elections, Reform has flatly failed to find any substantive waste in their councils, let alone cut it

It's fair to assume that their claim about waste in central government is equally meaningless
Farage doubling down on cutting government spending. Wait until he finds out how much his supporters love welfare spending, just not welfare spending on other people. Fantasy economics.

Ah yes... Lord "Ha Ha" that famous Nazi sympathiser.

If I remember correctly, he was the chap who put all those fiendish ditches in at stately homes.

Great to see Reform's mayoral candidate is on top of her history.

Embodies the underlying weirdness of this government - the minister in question hasn't tweeted for *OVER A YEAR* because the site is a cesspit.
Cabinet Office Minister Baroness Anderson tells the Lords the Government will keep on using X.

"I still believe that X is an appropriate platform to use because I believe in freedom of speech..."

"It is incredibly important that there is a counter narrative on those platforms," she says.

Failing to anticipate people would use your image generation bot to make consentless-pornography should be criminal incompetence.

Failing to include safeguards against it should be criminal negligence.

Failing to shut it down once (a) and (b) became obvious should be criminal distribution.

Also RefUK: 94% of regular kids? Their parents are just common scroungers fiddling the system.
Also RefUK: We stand up for ordinary people against the elites.

Keir Starmer promised to abolish the House of Lords. Instead he’s appointed Matthew Doyle, the man in charge of his, um, brilliant comms. It’s been a repeating story for more than 100 years app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/72007/...
The PM vowed to abolish the Lords. Why is he stuffing it with allies instead?
In Matthew Doyle, we are about to get another less than stellar peer. Now is the time for change

Entertaining as this spat is, it contains not-a-flicker of recognition as to WHY this might be happening.

For 16 months, a tax-exile-oligarch-owned, mostly right-wing press, has abused the privilege of these exclusive private sessions, to misrepresent the gov't on every issue. This is the FO stage.

Founding the NHS was Labour losing its way apparently. Blue Labour is an insane little clique relentlessly inflicting massive damage on the party and paving the way for the far-right to take power. Proscribe and remove.
OK, I really want to know what exactly is being argued here despite suspecting that I will despise it immensely.

This is why I don’t like the whole “Labour are hypocrites on gender issues because the Tories have had women leaders and they haven’t” thing.

Labour women are held to a much higher standard and get way more criticism. It’s a much higher bar.

Whatever else this government do (and there's plenty of issues with this budget) ministers will always be able to point to this as an incredible important contribution to the country's future. Almost half a million kids taken out of poverty.
Scrapping the two-child limit in full is a monumental decision. Well done to all involved in the Child Poverty Strategy, and everyone who has made the case against the policy.

OBR says scrapping costs £3 billion in 2029-30 and will lift 450,000 out of poverty

Every penny spent on bombs, tanks and missiles is stolen from our homes, schools and hospitals.

We are not going to take it anymore.

In the 1930s Mosley and his rank and file BUF were careful not to outwardly portray themselves as racists.

They weren't antisemitic... far from it... they were just concerned about "bad principles" and "international bankers" and the influx of foreigners

Everyone knew what they meant.

Lucy Connolly was convicted of inciting racial hatred, and her tweet was part of the tinder that lit violence, intimidation, looting, and thuggery across England last year.

The fact Reform conference gave her a standing ovation says everything about that movement.
