One thing I have noticed is that lots of young people do MAGA talking points mostly to aggrivate and exasperate in the same way them saying the n-word or using swastikas used to do (before the taboo on those became stronger) rather than them actually giving a shit about "blood and soil" for real.

Authoritarianism likes to play pretend about how superficially evil it is while being a really complex system of patronage in the background. This is so that a majority of people have a material reason to *not* overthrow the regime. The GOP doesn't know what it's doing isn't the "real" part.
