At some point someone just needs to say “you are an indecent person, you are lying to cover the slaughter of defenseless men, you know you are lying, and even under the tenets of your own professed faith you will certainly burn in hell if you continue down this path”
WELKER: Isn't it possible that even the act of taking off a t shirt could've been part of an attempt to get attention for help?

TOM COTTON: Or it could've been an attempt to signal to another cartel boat to come pick them up and pick up the cargo

"Democratic voters have to force their candidates to embrace real, aggressive Supreme Court reform. That means not only coming up with a plan (including, most likely, term limits and court expansion) but being unrestrained in how they talk about these six villains who are destroying our democracy."
Democrats Need to Treat the Supreme Court Like the Villain It Is
The Court is out of control, and we'll never see reform unless we build the case for it. Starting now.

This is no different than refusing to allow Obama to appoint Garland to the Supreme Court because a new president would take office in ten months, and then confirming Barrett eight days before the 2020 election. There are no laws, no rules, no norms, only Calvinball.
The word "eve" is doing a lot of work here in the Court's 'decision'

Um.... This is an actual judicial opinion (dissenting in the TX gerrymandering case)

They are not hiding it ...
What's changed is that the Court has become more transparent in its corruption. There's not even an argument here beyond the implicit one which is: how do you expect us to hold the House without those seats?
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

Many things are true at once

1. DSA is internally toxic and has bad shit in its platform

2. PSL and Code Pink are literal traitors

3. There’s a serious risk that we’ll enter a stupid and unjust war and large lib orgs like No Kings should use their reach to organize protests of normal people

This is the story tonight. Every Dem who was in that room should be telling us what they saw.
Himes: "What I saw in that room was one of the most troubling things I've seen in my time in public service ... any American who sees the video that I saw will see the US military attacking shipwrecked sailors."

Also this is why the investigation needs to be as far ranging as an organized crime investigation; need to find people to flip (not that I expect whatever psychopath they found to be the JSOC JA to, but someone will)

also JSOC is effectively a criminal enterprise at this point so

One of the fundamental issues with care of the disabled is that the 'higher-functioning' and even 'fake' groups of that spectrum will dominate all the resources available leaving little for the extremely disabled who cannot take care of themselves, which is a huge Catch-22.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

I think filling the top ranks of our education system with people who got there in part by abusing a system designed to help disabled people will select morally deficient people for leadership positions in our society and is worth taking steps to avoid bsky.app/profile/padr...
