I, and I suspect this applies to a lot of people, had the idea for the sims at least 10 years before it released. I didn’t have the capacity, or intention to do anything with it. Just a dream inspired by games played and what the evolution of them could be. Per the quote, the work is everything.
In art, ideas are next to nothing and the work is everything. Anyone who has held onto an idea for years only to see another artist implement it, knows this.
