Very sad to hear former Disney Imagineer Eddie Soto has passed away. He was so generous with his time, and an absolutely visionary in themed entertainment design, as well as civic space design which was people focussed.

Education is finding out what you love; learning how to use your leisure time; understanding what's possible. It's about living in a diverse society; knowing the world; visualizing the future; understanding others. Simply building a workforce can already be outsourced to AI. Being a teacher can't.

Politicians wringing their hands over why teachers are leaving the profession. The truth is, we'd get more people staying in teaching if our various Governments understood that the real purpose of education is *not* to build a compliant workforce, but a society of well-rounded individuals...

If you want your kids to survive the coming wave of multimedia gaslighting they will encounter from all angles, let them study media studies at GCSE and A-Level. I did media, people laughed. But I use the media literacy I learned *every. single. day.*
