You hate GenAI? that’s fantastic I’m with yea but have you bothered to support any artist today as well? All you need to do is share their art and interact with them. Checkout their stores and get others to notice them. If you hate slop you need to make real art flourish otherwise thier is no point.

Should remind people that it's the EXECS that are doing this stupid slop BS. And it's all because of greed, not art. Do Not harass dev workers over this. Contrary to what the execs say, no one was okay with it. Even some people that said ok just wanted to keep their jobs.

Like, for real. There's a lot of better ways to commission artists without resulting to genAI for references. Hero forge is one I see a lot and that works great. Fucking picrew works

"placeholder text" "concept art" either the temporary thing you put in matters to the process, in which case you need to get a human to work on it, or it doesn't, in which case you can just as easily put a bright pink rectangle that says PLACEHOLDER in and save everyone time and effort

Let me give some insight on this, as a producer in the dub industry who worked with major streamers, who's witnessed first-hand where this push for AI is coming from.

2. Our next paper is peer-reviewed & accepted by USENIX Security 2026. It is a Model Provenance tool that computes "feature fingerprints" from genAI image models.

For those not in those circles, I just need to remind you that losing a job to AI is not a vibes based idea. We are being told explicitly by art directors that we are being weighed against AI for jobs, people on teams fighting against the AD and you. It sucks. It’s demoralizing.

AI dubs aren't just an attempt to replace voice actors. Engineering, mixing, writing, directing, and QC are also cut, narrowed down to a single prompter.
When I write dub scripts, it is an exercise in musicality, translation, and personal life experience. A prompter understands none of that.
