Trump is recruiting for ICE with a $100K starting salary, $50K signing bonus, and $60K in student loan forgiveness—all while garnishing wages for working people who can't pay their student loans.

His message to working people is clear...

How does deporting undocs help MAGA folks
is my main question?
How does it help with the price of groceries?
Or health care, or anything at all?
At 65, most of us have put in 40-50 yrs worth of taxes towards Social Security. Almost no wage earners will live another 40-50 yrs after retirement.

Workers deserve a comfortable, secure retirement. We’ve earned it.

Immigrants contribute literally billions, most will not receive any benefits.

How far away is the part of South Africa this self righteous asshole is from? The person that came in and turned our government upside down — that wasn’t voted into office at all. 🤔

He’s awfully critical of Omar and Mamdani — who were both elected. Oddly, no one elected Musk to any office. 😡

In 2025, the US launched strikes on the Houthis in Yemen, al-Shabab in Somalia, ISIS in Syria, alleged drug traffickers in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, plus Iran’s nuclear program. Now some into Nigeria.

All killed people and damaged things, but none appear to have achieved anything lasting.

The mirror phenomenon of how we were outperforming the world for the last four years and that context was rarely offered.
Context you rarely hear: global stocks are up about 30% over the past year. U.S. stocks? Around 18%. That means American investors underperformed the world by about 12 percentage points, even while headlines called it a “fantastic year.”

@gregsargent.bsky.social's comprehensive piece on the ideas and emotions driving Miller -- and thus current immigration policy -- is instructive.

Miller's is not simple hypocrisy or self-loathing. It's destroying his own heritage and ours for whiteness.
Relatedly, we obtained an unpublished history of Stephen Miller's ancestors' immigration to the US, written by his grandmother. People like them were attacked in terms very similar to the ones Miller and MAGA use about today's immigrants:
