This is so bananas. Aside from the obvious prejudice, things like pipes bursting or house fires happen! Locals need immediate temporary housing for all sorts of reasons, and not everyone lives near reliable family or a support network!
A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.

When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

This is outrageous.

What if we educated people, encouraged them to spend some time off the Internet, and didn’t oversaturate them with constant distress?

What if we supported curiosity instead of information overload?

America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

Sad to see it coming to a close. At least we get two seasons yet to see. Overall has been my favorite of the Trek shows.

It's always fun when the teens and tweens make a seemingly nonsensical thing vault into the public consciousness and force twentysomethings to realize they're only going to keep getting older.
the 6-7 phenomenon is in no way different from any other catchphrase that kids have yelled out at any point in the last hundred years, there's no daylight between that and when i was in high school, the year straight where every guy kept yelling "i'm rick james bitch"

The fact is that Netflix is probably going to let Warner be for a good long while, which is completely different from Paramount who would tear EVERYTHING down in 5 seconds.
There are lots of angles to the Netflix/WB deal, and plenty of reasons for concern. Media consolidation? Not great! That very significant caveat aside, there's reason to be hopeful that maybe the Netflix-HBO of it all will be... not bad? Up now at @vulture.com

Most points off the bench in Wolves history:
3,859 — Naz Reid
3,353 — Sam Mitchell

No one else is within 1,500 bench points of Naz Reid.
