i listened to this random Irish resistance podcast that had Hasan Piker on and he said Bari Weiss tried to get him to do a "capitalism vs. socialism" town hall where he had to both acknowledge the premise that capitalism is a force for good, and he could not bring up Israel. He declined

I see why Newsom wants to be identified with Reagan, because just like Reagan, he’s abandoning LGBTQ people. Also he’s a neoliberal enabler of capitalist domination and control.

Nearing the end of Gundam IBO. I've really enjoyed it and I think it's got a lot going on thematically wrt things like hierarchy, identity, dehumanization, etc, so it bums me out that almost all discourse I see about it is just shallow aesthetic observations and juvenile powerscaling prattle

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

imo this is very much because our culture has decided that Humanities is For Girls and Thus Pathetically Easy Bullshit whereas STEM is For Cool Boys With Huge Dicks
i've mostly experienced it as the even worse version where everyone already innately can Do Humanities just as well as the pros, but math/sciences is difficult and requires a lot of natural talent AND learning to be able to understand it.
