It would help if every centrist who says they’d love to abolish ICE or end a genocide or protect trans people or get to universal healthcare but “you have to think about elections” would admit they just don’t want to do any of those things and are quietly fine with fascism if it doesn’t touch them.

On the subject of land use for solar panels, there are ways to build solar farms without affecting land use: build them a top of parking lots.
Cars/trucks can still park underneath, and as a bonus, they are shielded from the sun during hot summer days. Here's an example from where I live:

Tucha will be a Black Sea Fleet ship, so a late in the year commissioning likely means that she will remain in the Caspian Sea until spring, as the Volga-Don Canal is closed over the winter, usually from around December 1st.
Project 22800 Karakurt-class corvette Tucha is undergoing state trials in the Caspian Sea.
It is planned that this ship will join the Russian Navy by the end of this year, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
